FAQ

Illness Policy

In order to protect my clients and my family, I will wear a mask during your indoor session.

We will have to reschedule your session if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, including Fever, Onset of cough, Worsening of chronic cough, Sudden loss of taste/smell, Shortness of breath, New or unexplained GI symptoms, or been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID in the past 14 days.

What should I wear?

This can depend on what type of session we'll be doing, but it's generally best to stick to solid colors to give your photos a nice, clean look. Keeping everyone in similar tones, like muted, earthy, or jewel helps with the overall color harmony of your photos.
Patterns are not completely out of the question, and a good rule of thumb for coordinating your family with them is to choose one person to wear a pattern and have everyone else draw colors from it for their own outfits.
I am always happy to help if you need a second set of eyes on your outfits before the session!

How can I prepare for my baby's newborn session?

* It is helpful to have a pacifier on hand. Even if your baby doesn't seem to take one, it can be helpful during a session.
* Try to avoid tight fitting clothing before the session, and loosen baby's diaper at least 20 minutes beforehand.
* If you have an item that you're thinking of bringing to the session feel free to send me a photo! I will try my best to include it in a way that you can cherish forever.

Honestly, you've got a lot going on in the postpartum days. The things mentioned above can make the session and editing easier, but what I would really like is for you to prepare to come in and relax while I photograph your baby.

The Pacific Northwest is so soggy, what if it rains for my On Location session?

I don't mind working in or around the rain, and overcast makes for some pretty beautiful lighting! However, I understand the desire to stay warm and dry. I am happy to change locations or reschedule due to the weather, at your request, with at least a 24 hour notice. Additional information on rescheduling and cancellations is outlined in my contracts.

Do I have to order prints through you?

When you receive your digital images from me, you are also granted the print rights, which means you are welcome to print your own photos from the un-watermarked digitals that you will be downloading.
If you would like to order professional quality prints and canvases, I go through Symbiosis Printing.

Do you have mini sessions?

I offer mini sessions once or twice a year, typically around the holidays.

Do you offer anything that isn't listed, like headshots or weddings?

Yes! I frequently do headshots for local business owners and entrepreneurs, and I occasionally shoot weddings. I also work closely with organizations like Ready Set GROW, Jewell Chiropractic, Itsabelly Doulas, The Hummingbird Confectionery, and ITTC, photographing their classes, events, and more! Feel free to contact me to set something up, or to see more of those portfolios.
